The difference here is with the arena people can inspect eachothers teams on the ranking list and actually try to compete for prizes. Scrap the bots and have the arena be an actual ranked list of players in a similar power bracket much like sprint should be. The first would be to completely remove it and instead move it to the Arena. I have two ideas of how to fix Encounters. Furthermore Encounters often waste your time more than give you actual benefit (see the con list), meaning negative progress. The names may have been chosen for me from a pool of actual player names, but the team composition and strength change in ways that actual players would not. All of the encounter names seem to cycle. You are not even fighting other players teams, although this is an assumption based on always seeing the same bot encounter "player" names: LunaCookie, RedDragonD42 etc. The idea behind Encounters is fun, but the execution is poor. And if you fight an encounter you can not win, the gold is actually negative since you lost time fighting normal mobs However, since encounters take a long time (even if it a weak match takes a good while) you would often be able to make about the same or close to the same amount of gold just pressing surrender and running the level. The amount of gold won in an encounter is a good chunk, sure. But even so they still take a lot of time which is time not advancing at all if you are idle and not there to press surrender So far every Undefeatable encounter i have had has been just that: Undefeatable. As such getting the 20 encounters in a row requires a pretty large amount of luck or (i am guessing here) being massively overpowered for the level the encounters happen on It is perfectly possible to get Undefeatable many times in a row, just like you can get Piece of cake many times in a row. The encounters seem to be randomly chosen between 5 different strengths, which seems to be somewhat scaled in power to the level it happens on: Piece of cake, Weak, Even, Arch Rival and Undefeatable.Encounters are bot matches (this is obvious, but listed for completeness).Winning 20 encounters in a row gives you an achievement which unlocks a new portrait. You win a good chunk of money (relative to your stage) when winning an encounter.Give the players a sense of PvP excitement This would both remove the bot deception (since they are now milestones instead), as well as clearly giving the players human competition. Then extend the sprint list to show all 100 spots so that the few players that are matched together can actually see eachother and compete against both the bot end goals and eachother. My best guess at how to fix this would be to clearly indicate the entries that are bots as actual bots, and have them show at their end stage right from the start. It isn't much of a race as the name indicates, and it is artificially gated with bots which probably already have set numbers for where they will be at the end of the sprint regardless of player interaction. Sprint tries to be something that it is not. But the event is always very long (aka more like a marathon), and the only advantage you get by trying to go fast is reaching further with less lunar power spent, meaning the overall difficulty is slightly less reaching your end point than if you did not hurry The name "Sprint" indicates that you need to try to be fast.Bots often reach far beyond the players last rewound time objective which makes it impossible for many players to compete unless they "power up" heavily from the cash shop. The game tries to mask the fact of the above which is directly deceitful.Sometimes even only bots, but this is an assumption i can not prove Great prizes in the prize pool for game advancement.Give the players an option to compete for prizes
